ANBO Manufacturing – Attachments That Outlast Your Machine

The First Chapter

ANBO Manufacturing opened its doors in 1978 with a simple but powerful mission: build high-quality tractor attachments that could stand up to real work.

Over the years, ANBO became known throughout the agricultural, forestry, and construction worlds for their grapples, blades, and rakes, each one engineered with the precision and durability that serious operators depend on. Dealers across the country stocked their products. Large corporate contracts came calling. Direct-sale customers gave the kind of reviews manufacturers dream of.

And then, in 2018, something no one expected happened: the doors closed.

There was no dramatic downfall, just a sudden stop that left customers and industry partners stunned. A 40-year legacy of American-made attachments seemed to blink out overnight.

Don’t Call It a Comeback

The most remarkable part of ANBO’s story isn’t the founding. It’s the resurrection.

When the new owner, Darren—at the time, “just a customer”—heard that ANBO had shut its doors, he couldn’t accept the fact that such quality products were going to be taken off the market. He owned multiple ANBO attachments himself, and he knew firsthand what they were capable of. He’d put them to the test, pushed them through tough conditions, and they got the job done. Every time.

In an industry overflowing with overseas components, thin steel, and short product life cycles, ANBO stood out. These attachments weren’t just better, they were built to last a lifetime.

So, he did what few people would do, and found a way to reopen the beloved company.

In March of 2020, ANBO Manufacturing returned; family-owned, still committed to USA-made parts, and ready to rebuild stronger than ever before.

And it happened because someone cared enough—not about profit, but about quality. About loyalty. About passing down equipment that will last for generations to come.

Our Partnership

Earlier this month, I traveled to Colville, WA to meet the ANBO team in person. What I expected was a factory tour. What I got was a conversation—one that ran well past our allotted time because the team was genuine, warm, and deeply passionate about what they do.

The team spoke about their customers with a reverence you rarely see anymore. About how every decision—every investment, every upgrade, every new piece of equipment—circles back to one mission: serve customers with perfection, integrity, and consistency.

They talked about growing intelligently, in ways that support both their production team and the people depending on their attachments. Their commitment to their staff is just as unwavering as their commitment to American-made materials, high-strength steel, and long-term durability.

And then there was our conversation about the “high cost of low prices”—a reminder that, in this industry, cutting corners always comes back around.

ANBO doesn’t play that game. Their mission is quality; quality of product, quality of service, and quality of character.

Built In-House. Built Right.

One of the strongest indicators of ANBO’s dedication to quality is their in-house approach to critical safety components. Take their stroke-control blocks, for example—manufactured right in Colville, Washington, by highly skilled team members who understand exactly what’s at stake.

These blocks directly protect operators. There’s no room for error, no tolerance for “close enough.” ANBO’s staff approaches them with meticulous care and decades of collective experience, ensuring each one meets the company’s uncompromising standards.

Loyal ANBO customers can rejoice in a few upcoming innovations: They’ve invested in a new cutting table, laying the groundwork to manufacture their own wear parts. This gives them tighter control over production timelines, material quality, and long-term product performance.

We also hear whispers of a new attachment on the horizon, and we cannot wait to see what the talented folks at ANBO have up their sleeves!

Loyalty Reigns.

Forge is proud to feature ANBO, proud to support them, and proud that the Pacific Northwest is home to a company with this much grit, and heart.
